Follow these quick steps to get set up, personalize your communications, and dive into core training.

1. Access the NLG Website and Your Email Account

Step 1: Set Up Your National Life Account

Start by logging in at www.nationallife.com to create your password. This must be completed before accessing your email account.

  • Account User ID: Provided in your Welcome Email from National Life
  • Password:
    • If you’ve logged in before, use the password you previously created.
    • If this is your first login, your password format is: [lowercase first initial][last 4 of SSN][UPPERCASE state abbreviation]$
      Example: m1234VT$

Step 2: Access Your NLGroup Email

Access your email via Outlook Web Access or use the Outlook desktop application.

  • Email Address Format: (lastname)_(first)@nlgroupmail.com
  • User Name: Provided in the email from National Life
  • Password: Same as your National Life website password

2. How to Edit Your Email Signature

Step-by-Step Instructions (Outlook Web)

  1. Go to Outlook Web Access.
  2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) → Settings.
  3. Search for “Email signature” and open the signature settings.
  4. Paste the signature format below.
  5. Check:
    • Automatically include my signature on new messages
    • Automatically include my signature on replies/forwards
  6. Click Save.

3. Validate Direct Deposit Information in the Commission Payment Portal

You can manage your Direct Deposit information directly in the Commission Payment Portal.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to the National Life Group Agent Portal.
  2. From the Compensation menu, select Commission Payment Portal.
  3. Open the Pay section to update your banking information.

Reminder: Validate all direct deposit information before the commission cut-off date to ensure processing for the next pay cycle.
